Dan,

I remember a while ago you stated that you gained more power with a K&N filter than compared to the filter provided with the KKM. I am assuming this was a universal filter that you simply attached to the MAF adapter and not the drop-in unit. Could you tell me the part number of the filter you used. Also did the filter have a closed top, open top, or was it inverted. Finally, is the filter you used the biggest one that would fit. TIA

K&N filter RC3530, fits on KKM adapter but is a little bigger & closed on top. Flow just a bit better than the S&B (KKM) filter above 6000 RPM (about 1-3 HP) but below 6000 RPM power identical - so real world gain minimal. Would probably fit the BAT MAF adapter (but just guessing) and the price would be cheaper than KKM though.
