I installed a Blaupunkt PA2100 2x100W amp in place of the factory amp, to run my front speakers. I will be adding a second PA4100 4x100W amp under the front passenger seat, to run rear speakers and bridged to run a 6.5 sealed or 8" IB sub. I ran a 10G power cable to the the 2channel amp. My question is can I mount a distribution block in the engine compartment? And if so can I run a 10G power cable to the 4channel amp? I plan on running a 6G power cable from the battery to the distribution block and then running 10G cables to both amps; I would prefer the cleaner one cable install as opposed to running another 10G power cable. I don't listen really loud I just want fuller sound.

I would recommend running a single 4 AWG to your distribution and then running either 8 or 10 AWG from there. BTW, considering that your going to have a 2 channel and a 4 channel amp why not use the 4 channel to run the 4 door speakers and use the 2 channel for the sub?

Can I mount the distribution block in the engine compartment? I wanted to keep the dash amp running front to keep the cable run and speaker wires short. I will also be driving the car to NYC at times and may want to pull the 4channel under the seat, granted I may have know rear or subs but no theft. If the install is clean enough I will then run the 4 doors from the 4 channel like you suggest and then the sub from the dash amp.

Moving an amp under the seat sucks. I had an amp under each seat on my old contour. A 4 channel for the doors and a monoblock for the sub. I wrecked that contour then moved the monoblock to the trunk. The 4 channel is sitting under the passenger side front seat currently. I love the way it is out of the way and would be pretty hard to steal.
