Purchased 98 Mystique about 6 weeks ago with 29K miles. Car had a cracked right front spring. Front springs and struts replaced under warranty, was told the struts were weak. Had the car aligned and all seemed good. about 300 miles later the brake peddle began to pulse a little bit. Had the transmission serviced, tires rotated and the car inspected, the car passed no problems. However after the atx svc and rotation the pulsation has gotten worse and the car seems to pull to the right. Had the pulsation checked and was advised that I need new rotors as they were to thin to be machined. I looked at the rotors look okay to me. Then last night I was creeping over a speed bump and started to hear a slight crunching noise which was similar but fainter than the crunching noise I had when I discovered the cracked spring. I don't think I need rotors and they certainly look thick enough to be machined, the car is under warranty. Could it be a control arm bushing subframe connection? It seemed that once the tires were rotated things really got worse. Sorry for the long post but I am getting frustrated with the front suspension issues. HELP!

The brake shudder most certainly is a rotor problem. The original pads didn't give good rotor like, so it is likely that you need new rotors and pads. If in doubt, remove the rotors to find the minimun thickness spec printed on it near the hub and have them measured, but very likey you do need new ones.

Some suspension noise going over speend bumps is perfectly normal. Do inspect the suspension, but don't freak out feeling that now you have springs failing again.
