Get a chip. You are electronically governed and the chip can remove that.

Actually, I'm working on an alternative to removing the speed limiter, at a fraction of the cost of a superchip. How does under 20$ sound?

I should have it installed on my car in the next week. I'll keep you guys posted.

What about free? Do a search on speed governor by me (member #786) and you'll find that I've found a way to do it for free. But the drawback for the cars with electronic VSS is the lost of speedometer. '95s don't get affected because our speedometer is cable driven.

Well either my speedo is way off or I don't have a governor. I've had mine up to 130. Anyone else noticed this? Mine also came with 4 wheel discs, I thought that all the GL's came with drums in the back. Mine does have the performance tire package (not the Sport package, I don't have the perf. susp nor the cool rims.)

But doesn't that disable the cruise control, too?
