99-00 did not spell out normal in the temp area. I know they aren't aftermarket gauges because there was a ford build sticker on the back of the cluster.

We had some snow last night, and I spun the tires. No traction control from what I can tell.

I wonder if it could be a Mondeo instrument panel cluster.

If it was it would be in KPH and wouldn't have SVT on the tach.

I haven't seen a Mondeo's panel, but all the other's idiot lights here don't have words. They are all pictoral.

So no "BRAKE", "ABS", "CHECK ENGINE", "OD OFF", etc.

I think it is possible to pull the gauges off and install on another instrument panel cluster.

Well I just got off the phone with Ford Customer Service, and they won't offer assistance....big surprise. I first went to the dealer and they told me what I already know....the car is out of warranty. I then called the SVT hotline and they said they have never heard of this issue. I know that the car is a '99 and it's out of warranty, but how could this get past factory inspection without the check engine light being there? The previous owner claimed he never noticed it, but it's going to be a problem for me when I get the car emissions tested. HELP...anyone have any contacts inside of Ford??????

At this point, I would remove the instrument cluster panel lens and cover assembly and reinstall the panel. Then turn ignition to on and then to start. Make a note of what lights come on and what come off (at each position) and try and map the position to the shop manual and maybe some other SVT owners can post pictures of their instrument panel cluster with the idiot lights on for you to compare. Good luck.

Thanks for the info, but that's really what I did already. The top two pictures are with all lower bulbs taken out and light shining behind the cluster. The next picture is the diagram of where the indicators are supposed to be. The last two is with the key to the 'on' position while the dash is doing it's selftest.
