on top of all the damage to your car, you will most likely have to pay for damages to the guard rail, too.

next time have the g/f come to you....haha just kidding. i had a string of bad luck with mine in the past. my hometown is toledo, not too far from UT, but now i am in Korea. just snowed here last night for the 3rd time all year. we had a major snowball fight today and it was awesome. about 30 people involved. you will get it fixed soon enough and be back on the road again. it is just sheet metal and paint. it can be fixed. godd luck with it.

i had the same thing happen to me about a year ago and I was headed for a cement barrier in the middle. My tires at the time were not good because they were fairly worn and not much tread left. I was going fairly slow, 40ish, and was getting "sucked" in towards that barrier so I just calmly turned the wheels the other way SLIGHTLY....you do not want to over correct in a situation like that. A few seconds later the tires hit pavement again and went right where I wanted it to...and not across 3 lanes of traffic.

not to be a D!ck but

well considering the conditions, you say you were traveling at 55 MPH.

Snow, ice, slush, CONSRUCTION ZONE!!

Here in IL it's 45...

Then through snow and Ice into the mix, I'd drop it from there.

obviously the crews weren't out, but speeding fines being doubled are still in effect regaurdless if the crews are out or not.

Sorry to hear about your accident, I also noted that you said there were alot of other accidents in that area.
So I may be out in left field, it's not my intention to flame anyone, especially right after they reck there car.

but just for the record what is the speed limit in a construction zone.

Here in Ohio construction zones are 55. There were no barrels or areas of work in the area where I spun out. Maybe it's possible someone forgot to move a sign or they had to wait to begin when the weather gets a litte better.

Ya and also in the "non" construction zones its 65 (70 in some areas) and you will get passed by people doing 80 or more. That of course is in the summer time.
So since he was in the 65 zone(?) and doing 55 I'd say he was doing a pretty decent speed, and also what made you think he was in a construction zone?

EDIT: Ok I looked at the pics again and I see a construction zone sign, they have those up because they are redoing the WHOLE highway and making it 3 lanes all they way from Cleveland to Cincinatti, and that is well over 250+ miles of highway, maybe 300.
So for right now until they get that done, you'll see those signs everywhere.
