So I got an internship at MTI Racing about a week ago and everything is going smooth so far. I go there after my school day ends at 2pm so it's a good way to let out some steam working on cars. So far there's been some interesting stuff going on which is always cool to me.
The first day I got there, we put an '06 M5 on the dyno and it made 437rwhp. Impressive! They've actually let me work on some of the customer's cars as I got to take the cylinder heads off of an LS1. Got some pics of some of cars too.
This is the development car. It gets all of the experimental stuff that comes to the market. Right now it is equipped with a 434ci (7.1L) C5R- block engine. On the last dyno run it made 605rwhp with no power adders! It also ran a 1:32 lap at Road ATL with Reese behind the wheel. This is probably my favorite car out of all of the ones here because it really is a street legal racecar.
Here's the old World Challenge car. Some of you might recognize it from races about 5 years ago.
Here's my uncle's car. It looks stock but he had a 404ci LS2 put in it. The car is very, very, very loud. The cam spec is somewhere around 240/240 with .600" lift. It should make about 480-500rwhp when it finishes break-in.
Here's an empty C6. The customer drove the car 200mi and said it wasn't enough. A 427 will be in there soon.
