as the title to this thread mentioned, my car wont start. i was trying to sell the car so it sat for awhile in december and it was really cold out and the fuel froze in the lines, it started again when it warmed up, now it wont start again. i replaced the fuel pump about a year ago and i would hate to think it was that again. i cant here the fuel pump pressurize when i turn the key. the car is throwing two codes, p0453 and p1451. i know those are for the canister vent solenoid, which i have replaced. could that be connected to my problem? last time i got the car to start i put heet in the fuel tank and ran it for awhile so the fuel shouldnt have frozen in the lines again. i have checked the fuse for the fuel pump and it was good. any help would be greatly appreciated!

P1451 is Lack of Response From Passive Anti-Theft System Module - Engine Disabled.

Might want to look that up again. A P1451 is an open circuit for the CV solenoid.
P0453 is a fault in the fuel tank pressure sensor.
Neither will cause a "no start" condition.
Are we talking a "no crank" or a "cranks but no fire" situation here?

its a crank but no start situation, i tried using my other key and it still did the same thing so i dunno if it is the PATS system, i dont think both keys could have gotten screwed up at the same time.

Put key to ON position, if red light indicator flashes rapidly or on solid, then it is probably the PATS giving problems.
If not, check the Canister Vent Solenoid (and/or CV Solenoid circuit). Good luck.

i actually just got the car to start again, i reset the computer and it fired right up, so it probably was the pats system.

If it cranks, it is NOT a PATS fault as PATS also disables the starter motor.
Therefore, it was something else....
If the FAQ said P1451 is a PATS issue, the FAQ is in error. Check it against the PC/ED.
