Sounds confusing with all this talk of velocity ..stacks.. etc.
I would like to see a picture from the inside and something that shows where the box is drawing it's air from.
It may be a wonderfull product, but without something more visually enlightening it will be viewed with suspicion.
While you are at it, why not a simpler explanation.

warmonger

P.S. Thanks for posting the info.

Has anyone tried or tested this cold air box from weapon-r I heard there were suppose to be 2 CEG members trying this any luck??? I know the box is made for the cougars. Will this box have the same configuration like the 96 contour 2.5 v6 as far as the IAT sensor placement?

John Miks made them for half that price!
They also were NOT METAL! Heatsoaking POS's

Isn't this the same company that brought us the tiny little foam filter assembly for like $150+ that flows way less then the stock SVT paper filter.

Don't they have a $750 chip too?

Man, talk about rip-off scam artists at their worst!

I would like to know how a $699 chip that has dynoed over 10hp to the wheels on a STOCK V6 non SVT is a waste. You all pay $600 for headers that give you 13hp if your lucky. Once My car is done at the shop getting the wide body kit, they will be making Stage 2 where we will be dyno'ing over 20hp to the wheels from the ECU.

Cold Air Box has proven itself ON A DYNO. The metal does not absorb heat...

Custom chip, S-AFC, Dyno time = ~$600 and the ability to retune at any time!!!

Diablo chip programmer ~$625 Yes the ACTUAL end user programmer!

2 far better setups for less money!
2 custom setups tuned to YOUR ACTUAL CAR! Not a preset code based on a car not your own!

Also no one has answered on the subject of the numerous computer codes. (I've asked it on both boards multiple times!)
So they tuned your specific code to your cars mods and idiosyncrasies. Now what about other peoples cars, other codes, etc.
Heck for $700 I want a custom burn of my car; not a generic code (like any other CHIP!)

Metal absorbs heat! Your ON A DYNO testing will not change physics. Try it in the summer heat with a closed hood! Heck just close the hood for a while.

Also I'd like to see the 20HP gains too! (Stage 2)
I did see the vague 10HP dyno graphs you posted earlier. Not completely sure if the "tuning" was the only change and what was the A/F ratios before & after???

I wonder why it is so hard to get aftermarket parts for the Contiques?

I'm sure it doesnt have anything to do with threads like this. A company has stepped forward to offer a performance product for our rides. I think it's great. If I had that kind of money sitting around right now I'd probably consider one.
