i got trans fluid leaking at the complete rear of the engine/trans at the bottom of the circular cover.from what i can see from the manual this is the trans oil pump assembly.this end of the trans looks like it was never touched by the trans shop when i had a rebuild done last month.they already had to redo the front seal 2 days after then rebuild..my question is can new fluid cause a old gasket to leak?should they of taken this end apart? i really dont want my car to go back to these yoyos because i dont feel confident in them anymore but my warranty is there.i just feel sick...........tryin to get advice before i call and [censored].thanks for lettin me vent

In order for the Trans pump assembly to be removed, it has to be out of the car. The only was to align the pump and housing is with the ATX lying on it's side.
Are you sure it's not the Servo cover?
Does the shop you took it to have a warranty?
How much was the rebuild? $2000?

Thanks for the reply.talked to multistate today the exterior pump assembly o ring was leaking. No need to redrop the trans, only lower the drivers side a little bit to replace this. why this wasnt replaced during the rebuild i dont know.all i know is im sick of seeing red stains on my floor!!the total cost of this was 2200.i paid 800 with my warranty covering the rest.Im trying to keep a level head but sometimes you just want to SCREAM.

You had better be sure. If it doesn't line up, it will leak again. I would get a 2nd opinion.
