Working afternoons sucks when trying to catch these shows, but I actually seen this episode yesterday and yes, its one of the best ones to date. It ranks right up there with the guy who got his white T-bird done by Foose, very touching story to go along with both of these rides

Okay I havent seen any of the episodes, but how do they get away with taking his truck for 4 months and not have the police/insurance if any, involved?

They are informed of the situation and just "play along".

Heh, well as you should know if you've seen ANY Overhaulin'...
They usually contact the local PD before they pull off the stint. In this case though, Chip even called a former Overhaulin' mark who happened to be a sheriff. He had the sheriff run his car in the system. Since the Overhaulin crew already contacted Chip's local PD, the car didn't come up as stolen even though Chip tried to report it as such. The sheriff, being the intelligent man that he is, put two and two together and realized Chip was being Overhauled. He called the producers of the show, and the producers got the sheriff in on it too, and the sheriff told Chip that it was reported stolen, 100% legit. Gotta love it!
