Hello guys,
How can I tell which models have rear disk brakes?
Is it just cars with ABS?

Well, simple enough question! Either look at through the rear wheels to see the disks, or if the car has a V6 and a stick, it's got rear discs. ABS has nothing to do with it - mine doesn't have ABS and it has rear discs. This applies to Mystique's too!

None. Can't get both on the same car (unless you do it yourself!)

ERROR ERROR... THe earlier "contented" cars had plenty of atx+rear disk... I owned a 96' Mystique V6LS ATX that had 'em....

Right, model years '97 and earlier, V6 models had rear disks regardless of trans.

Another clarification: 4-cylinder models of any year were not available with rear discs, regardless of transmission or ABS.

Thanks guys,
That's what I wanted to know. I am shopping for a contour and after having rebuilt rear drums, I swore my next car would have four wheel disks.
