My front drivers side spring broke on Tuesday morning. Went to mt local ford dealership to see if there was a recall, and there was.So i didnt have to spent money on Koni's and H&R's. But i jsut went out to start my car and both front rims are scratched. BTW I have focus SVT rims. They are scratched in the center near the lugs. So the person(s) working on my car must have put the rims face down and scratched them up. So what do you think I should do aboput this?

First thing I would do is call the service manager and see what he has to say. Hopefully they will make things right for you.

yeah, def. call the place back up and speak to the manager, or if you have the time, go down there and speak to him.
what dealership was this?

Exactly the reason why I always put my stock rims/snows on when I go in for service. It's time consuming, but well worth it in the end. Hope everything works out for you. At least it's a Ford rim, so it should be easier for the dealership to replace it.

How badly are they scratched? Will it just buff out?

I just came back form going down there. The guy said the service manager was not in today, and said to come by tomorrow or call. Its Jack Madden Ford in Norwood where I got the springs replaced. The scratches are definatly not buffable some are kinda deep. I can catch my finger nail on the scratches.
There was no way I could put my other rims on the car, the front bumper was about 2 inches off the ground. I hope that they make everything right, and not try and screw me.

OUCH, just after I hit 80,000 miles (my warranty) my passenger side spring broke. I fought Ford and Svt to have it covered under the recall you spoke of and they said it was not covered because it was an SVT. To top it all off went it broke it blew out my Eagle GS tire. This thread brings back bad memories!!

Same here. I fought and fought for months and nothing came out of it. I think they are full of it. This post makes me even more angry and I am tempted to get the contact info for this dealer and then call Ford back. I would sit on the phone and say "Tell me why this was done under recall and my car was not"

I'm pretty surprised about them citing the recall.
I coulda sworn that recall expired Dec 04.

Ed I was thinking of the same thing, I just need to find all of the paperwork from Ford and hey from the tire place as well. I cannot believe this was a if you feel like covering it recall!
