Hi everybody. Since my wife would not give me her Mystique when my car died, I went out and bought this replacement. It is a 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 LS. It had 35k miles on the car when I bought it in late 2004. It was in the shop for over 5 months getting road ready (new belts, hoses and other rubber bits), after being in storage for several years. Here is a link to the two pictures of the car I took at a car show in the spring of 2005. I hope they work. http://www.contour.org/carprofile/profilepic.php?id=2936http://www.contour.org/carprofile/profilepic.php?id=2937The car has a 210 horsepower, 3.0 liter, 24-valve V6 engine. It is front wheel drive, has a top speed of 150 MPH and cruses like it was on the Autobahn. Old blue is an automatic and has a full leather interior. Alfa left the US market in 1995 and these cars are fairly rare over here as only 400 to 500 were sold in the US in 1994. I love driving it and have received many positive comments about the car. I hope you enjoy it and I will try and post some more photographs in case anyone is interested. Take care, Jeff Dallas, Texas 1999 Mercury Mystique 1994 Alfa Romeo 164 LS

Love everything but the grill. I never quite liked Alfas' grills, but the rest of the car is sweet. Nice ride. Scott

VERY nice! Don't ever sell that car. If you mod, keep all the original parts so you can put it back to stock when you need/want to. Modding may be a remote possibility anyway, that probably has a smaller U.S. aftermarket than the Mystique.
Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

Theres some type of Alfa near my house for sale, but I don't know what it is, but its a hatchback and looks like something from the 80's. Its silver and bit rusty, but something you don't see everyday, therefore its cool

I love 164s, although I always look for 164S and Quadrifolio models on ebay. I like the five-speeds. They've always stood out for me. I guess the reason I've never pulled the trigger is that it must be a horrendous quest to get parts for that car, and I've read about insanse repair bills for engine work, some of it just maintenance. And btw, didn't it share some architecture with the Saab 9000?
But that said, I envy you. Nice car.
