So I went to Ford today. Picked up a bulb for my clock $(2.56) and an oil filter $(7.17) sure and fine.
Asked for a quote on an IAC valve and at $207.21 I left without it. What a joke! No wonder why people call them "StealerShips"! Time to shop around.

"Picked up a bulb for my clock $(2.56)"
Would you please post the part number? I "fixed" mine during the summer and it is out again. I'd like to order it rather than go to the dealer. Thanks.

Did this include installation? If not, then maybe you should order from Bill Jenkins at www.teamfordparts.com

You can get an aftermarket IAC , i personally have had no problems with them, although some of my work mates have and won't touch the aftermarket IAC.

You will be asked for the number off of the old unit tho so have it ready.

I got one last week for a customer ,around $130 Cnd.

As for the MAF i've seen them go bad and not set a code, usually gives the 3000rpm and then bogs problem tho.

Good Luck

I replaced my MAF a few years ago. It kept throwing a code so I bought a reman from Ford for$149.
The Ford # for the bulb is : E5RY-13466-BA
I will more than likely go aftermarket for the IAC.
The price from Ford was the part only.

From www.teamfordparts, the Zetec IAC is US$76.81. It is called the Idle Speed Control.

Ordered an IAC from Part Source for $107. Ford quoted me $210.
Hope this fixes my problem.
I'm going to check that PCV line for leaks once more.

Lots of good stuff on this thread. I recently had the same problem and it was the rubber hose split coming off the pcv valve. Here was my post. Car still running great 2 weeks in... Good luck!
