I just bought my svt contour and I just put on my kkm intake. but im having problems getting the blue rubber piece to stay in the hole. it keeps on popping out. i was wondering if i missed a step or if this will cause a decrease in preformance because it isnt sealed 100%.

Oh and do i need the screen ? I dont think i do but i want to know for sure/
Thanks

Welllllll....

With the screen...think of that screen as settling down the turbulence in the airflow, which would subsequently give you a more accurate MAS reading, which would better aid in the fuel mixture, which would give you more power, which would...you get the idea wink

About the connector not fitting in the tube for the fender cold air intake, my solution was to get high-temp engine wrap and wrap the entire connector and the plastic boot for the fender well...I have had no problems since!

Hope I was of some help, email me at AvengaRT@aol.com if i can be of further assistance.

I put on one of those adjustable bands that plumbers use. Not tape but it's tight, easily removable, and cheap at Home Depot.
