What type of plugs are they?
The readers here prefer MotorCraft or AutoLite DP's.
I got flamed for buying Champion DP's last week. Tough crowd here at CEG for sure!

AutoLite P# APP 5344 or APP 5364.

No. Picky cars... ... and caring CEGers who don't like to see people waste money.

Must be that jumbly-wumbly thing happening again.

"TourMan" I'm truly touched by your caring.
There should be more people in the world like you.
My parents are in Pompano Beach FL. They love it there.

The plugs are MotorCraft. And last night i went to leave to go to work got about 1 mile and the cel came on and sure thing misfire 2 and 3.But it is not always 2 and 3 somtimes it is 1 and 4.I made a point to call my tec and tell him that i was bringing it by this friday. I told him the problem and about the fans not running unless i turn the air or heat on.His first thought was a short or computer was bad.So he is going to run a test on it for $80.00 the test is for all things that go to the computer.Does anyone have any more thoughts. If i get it fixed i will find out what the problem is so i can post it here to pay back all the people that have helpped me in the last year. And for the new people that join in the future. thanks for the help.

I had various misfire codes and hesitation/stumbling on my 1999 SVT. I replaced plugs and wires (Autolite APP764 and Ford Racing wires) and problem still occurred. At that point I looked at the running engine in the dark and saw arcing from the new wires to metal and each other. I moved the arcing locations further from where they arc to and saw a HUGE difference. I still have very slight stumbling occaisionally (tolerable though) and plan to do more investigation when it warms up outside. Hope this helps.

Crap, man! Get those things out of your car!!!

That arching is bound to do some damage eventually, and the misfires are a really bad thing over time too!

Motorcraft OEM type is best. I don't know the part numbers, try www.motorcraft.com. (I am surprised Ford Racing wires were bad.) Another possibility is the coil pack is bad. When you put the new wires, put silicone grease on the boots so the plugs will be sealed and be sure the plug insulators (white part) are clean. Dirt=carbon track=misfire and frustration
