Hello again,
First off, thank you to everyone that contributed to my previous post. Ok, ran test and it pulled up a 225 which is a knock sensor fault? Would this explain the erratic rpm fluctuation when in park or in drive. You can hold the rpm around 2K and it will significantly fluctuate. You can also here it miss at the exhaust. Where exactly is the knock sensor on a 95 Contour 2.0L?
I have changed plugs, wires, MAF (it came up faulty the first time), fuel system cleaned, fuel filter, etc.. and it still runs like poo.
Oh and there also seems to be abnormal amount of moisture coming from the exhaust.
Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions.

The KS is unlikely to cause your conditions.

Your symptoms sound like a vacuum leak.

I have checked the hoses for signs of cracking, hissing, leakage, etc. and found no vacuum leaks. I'm sure I could have missed a vacuum line though. Are there some common vacuum leakage problems with the 2.0 engine.? Like the intake manifold?

Hello,
I just wanted to give you guys an update on the sick Contour. I ended up taking it to a local shop. Turns out, it was the coil that was causing the hesistation. Under load the coil would become intermittant causing the poor acceleration. On a worse note, it was determined that the Contour was consuming coolant and a leakdown test confirmed that cylinders 1 & 2 were lacking compression. They feel it could be a faulty head gasket or a crack in the head. The conclusion is that my girlfriend can't afford repairs like that so she will need to get rid of it. Anybody in the NW have a need for a 95 2.0L parts car? A real bummer.

If you were in Texas I could use a parts car.
