I know that the three that are available are Quaife,Torsen, and Phantom Grip and wanted some opinions on what the best application for me would be. I don't race often, I don't really experience wheel hop ever due to the fact that I don't launch hard that much. But I want the added traction an LSD can offer just in case I decide to race in the future. Also if I ever do some sort of Forced induction I know that an LSD is almost necesasary. So which one do y'all think I should go with?

You should choose between the Quaife and Torsen, the Phantom grip is not a true LSD and offers no real benifit over stock. Both the Quaife and Torsen replace the whole diff. carrier while the phantom grip is installed in the stock diff with stock spider gears.

I myself have the Quaife, and I am beyond impressed with it... I would obviously cast my vote in favor of the Quaife.

There is a thread a while back where Rick @ Torsen compares the two (Torsen and Quaife). Pretty much boils down to a coin toss - both are excellent units. I have nothing but good thigs to say about the Quaife I have (well, except for the fact that I bought it a few weeks before it dropped in price by $300).

This is a good thread...

I like the way Terry Haines put it:

Quote:
I prefer the material used in the Quaife plus they do have a lot of 'background'/experience in full transmissions and racing.Torsen may have better bias ratio but most of their history is in RWD not FWD as Quaife. Its a tie....! What will I fit to my car? A Quaife.
