After almost nine years I am bidding a fond farewell to my 1998 Mystique. It is being replaced by a 2006 Nissan Altima 3.5SE/MTX. The kids were getting too big for the old back seat.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone on this forum who has helped me with my technical problems over the years. Of all the forums that I have viewed, this one has the greatest level of expertise.

I will most likely continue to check in ocassionally since I gave the car to a family member.

Once again, thanks.

Nice choice... I still want an SE-R, though!

How much did you get the Altima for?

Nice! I was looking for a ~2002 Altima when I came across my Maxima. Good luck with the new car!

It's so weird to think the late 90s cars are getting close to a decade old now.

Nice choice. I miss my '98 Mystique. I traded it for my '95 Contour, which is on it's way out this spring and being replaced with a 2006 Cobalt SS sedan.

Looking like early March. I'm planning to pay $3000 down, and I've got $2500 right now, then I need to save a few hundred bucks to pay sme of my insurance upfront. Oh,speaking of that,I better call and get some more quotes.

The SS will be pretty hot. I actually haven't seen an SS sedan in person yet. It's new for '06. I've seen all sorts of SS supercharged coupes. The SS sedan is pretty hot though. I ordered black on grey leather with polished aluminum 17" 5 spoke rims, sunroof and premium Pioneer sound system with built in 10" sub. Car is $26,790,but after my trade in,downpayment,GM points and grad plan,I got it knocked down to $21,990.

The 3.5SE Altima MTX is equipped with the leather package, side sills/splash guards, floor mats, and protection package. Bottom line with rebate not including taxes, doc fees, and registration was $24,400. I can't believe I got such a nice car for so little money!

BTW. The color is polished pewter w/blonde interior.
