Not exactly 'new'. They've been out for at least a year now.
And they don't offer a great deal more than Defi has for years (multiple colors being the most significant difference), and if you figure in the vast variety of accessories that Defi has available (and the fact that they're a better 60mm size), I'd consider Defi a better option personally.
EDIT: They've actually been out longer than I thought. I've got email exchanges with Autometer about them (from when I was having the Mazda6 center gauge pod designed) from the Spring of '04. So they're over 2 years old now.

The MSRP is about $350/gauge but you can find them for about $250 per gauge. Plus you need a $200 computer that controls them.
So a normal dash set of 3 will run you about $1000. Compared to about $100 for normal Autometer gauges.
Defi BFs run about the same as the Nexus' do.

Pretty damn sweet! But there's no way I'm spending that much per gauge!

Sweet. Another thing people can put on their cars that outvalue the car itself. These gauges should go well with high-bling wheels and loud stereos.
