On saturday I was out driving and I went around a car just before the apex of a turn hit a slick spot on the road, rear end started to walk... anyway long story short I end up on the side of the road in the grass, after going over a curb at 30MPH.No one is hurt no cars are damaged other than mine.

Monday I get my car to the dealership and crawl under to have a look. The only thing that has any visual damage, aside from the paint on my koni's is the LCA.

This is based solely on my experiance so don't put to much faith in it,I just want to put the info out there.Based on the damage my car sustained I believe that ford designed the LCAs to buckle in the event of a crash in order to save the subframe and other sensitive or expensive components.I'm sure most people can figure out what I am trying to get at.

Anyway thank you for your time

I'll bet they all design it like that.

I got to drive a 1986 Cutlass Ciera around for free b/c I fixed it. Dude was drunk and hit a curb at 50mph... Control arm was all sorts of bent up. Threw one on from another car, good to go. Rim wasn't even bent (maybe b/c it had super tall like 195/85-14's on it).

Almost sideways, what sucks is that I normally go around the turn at around 65,I was only going about 50 this time,I didn't think about the fact that it has been really windy and there was a bunch of crap on the road.

I just hit a curb at 25... Stupid on my part, pulled over fast on sand and hit the brakes. Hit direct on the passenger front tire and pretty much stopped the car (the curb stop the car that is)I saw the wheel cover go flying.. I sat there asking myself why didnt' I just come off the brake? @#$# drove off with a good wooble and had the wheel turn half to the right. Tire didn't let go.

Jacked it up at home in the cold. took tire off and can't see anything wrong. Put donut tire on and took it for ride, alignment seems fine tracks straight. If you let go of wheel it will pull to the side donut is on but that would be the donut. Only other thing I noted is right turns fine, left turn seems to slow the car and make a pulling noise, again I would believe and hope is the donut being on the outside of the turn. I ordered a stock rim from fordparts and hope to be all set on the 16th

I'm probably lucky that I have Eibach Pro-Spacers on the front the studs are probably much stonger than stockers.

I'm sure both are the typical 10.9 material used in DOT approved wheel studs. Unless the Eibach kit is not DOT approved?

However the spacers actually cause more stress on the suspension & bearing components by changing the suspension's geometry.

Trust me I know about the stresses on the suspension from the spacer,my brother still [censored] at me about them,(former CEG'er SQplus),but it was spacers or don't use my wilwood calipers. You make the call.I don't think that they are DOT approved but they are TUV+TSO approved in europe.I'm sure their standards are just as high if not higher than DOT.I think they use a higher strength material than factory, like ARP does for their wheel studs, but that is just speculation.
