Just thinking about this but part of our recent symptoms with the car is that when I start it, it starts great, but after I shut it off, it'll be hard to start unless I let it sit a while (leave it be, start it again next day, vroom it starts great).

However last time I tried starting the car (it's just in our driveway right now because of this), I pulled fuses 4 and 11 to reset the computer, then pushed down on the relays (or whatever the yellow boxes are), to make sure they were in securely.

That time the car started again, though I had to give it gas to get it to start. That's odd because when it won't start you can sit there cranking it and smell the engine getting gas (gas smell from the engine bay not from in the car). With that said, that time it'd do the typic for a hard start (crank, fast crank, push gas when you hear that, it fires up slowly).. Hrmm..

Might be a leaky hose, but then how come it starts up just fine the first time?

Hrm I'll grab a recording for the heck of it

If it's cranking normal, why suspect the starter/relay?
How does the throat in the TB look? Dirty?
What about spark plugs, wires, coil pack and air filter?
Is there a CEL light on?
If it's getting gas and cranking well. Go after the ignition system first.

....it could be the starter coil.

If it starts OK when you open the throttle a little, I would suspect a sticking IAC (idle air control). Try cleaning it.
