i have the same kind of problem ..

my car starts fine then stalls rite away does this for 5 min and i have to slowly give it gas till its above 2k and hold it there for a few min then its fine.

and if i give it gas quick it revs then makes pop sound out the intake then stalls .

i got the TH fix done to the car and did it before i did the TH fix

once the cars warmed up its fine .. .
i cleaned the IAC , MAF , intake ..

any ideas ?

sorry for hijacking the post
jsut thought the info could be used for the 2 of us

well, I cleaned the IAC... and I found out that the thing is almost as airtight as my arse... leaks thru the little cap and thru the seams... oh well... time for another one. BUT... the car seems to be running fine now... the moose is gone and idles much smoother. So I guess the problem was a sticky IAC.

thinking back tho... why was my car stalling under heavy acceleration and higher revs? the only thing that I can think of is that the IAC would open unexpectedly when the engine was breathing a bit harder... but would that amount of air be enough to stall the engine? does that make any sense?
