Does anyone else have the problem of getting shocked when they get out of there Contour?? It never fails.
When I get out and grab the door to close it is when it hits. Its smarts too.

let me guess you dont have leather seats do you. The reason this happens is because you brush your shirt or coat on the fabric of the seat and create a charge. The reason you get shocked is because when you touch something that conducts electrisy like metal for example. The metal. serves as a ground and a way for the charge to leave your body

HAHAHAHA! That was great... really, it was.

When I had cloth seats I found that if I held onto the door for a second instead of letting go right away it helped. You still get shocked, but it's not as noticable.

LOL, you guys are killin me.....I do know 'how' this happens but was looking to see if it was just me or if this has happened to others before. I will try some scotchguard perhaps.
If I hold on to the metal part of the door as it opens, I dont get it (do to the immediate ground) but its a pain to open the door that way.
It really smarts to when it happens.
Anyway Thanks guys!!!!
