Took a 4 hour trip to northern Minnesota in Duluth and rode the ENTIRE Northshore state trail. Over a period of two days we put on just over 400 miles. About 140 the first day because I ran low on injection oil, but on the second day I packed extra and we started in Two Harbors and rode all the way to Grand Marias and back, for a total of 272 miles in one day. Both of us forgot our digital cameras so we purchased a cheap one timer for the second day and this is what we came up with:

We were the second group to head out on the freshly groomed trails

And the fresh snow was great

Found a nice, wide straightaway where we were both able to pretty much top out our sleds

And I caught just a little bit of air off the bridge at the end

The trip north just kept getting better and better

But we did have to take a break here and there

The scenery was the best

And eventually we got to our destination

Not too bad eh

That was when we were about 10 miles south of Canada in Cook county. I had to dig into my header fund but I thought it was well worth it.

Looks like a lot of fun. All the trails around me are usually a combination of not enough snow/too much traffic, and you can forget about grooming. That looked like a nice ride, I need to get a sled again some day, I miss it. That, however, would require digging into the 3 liter swap money, which I don't wanna do...

I put about 200 miles on my soon to be father in law's extra sled over the weekend. We rode in the Piegon River forest in Vanderbuilt MI. I also went and watched the Snow Cross races in Gaylord MI.
