Howdy. Changing a wheel bearing on my 97 Contour Sport and I followed the great how to secition and it worked like a charm BUT...
I removed the lower pinch bolt and I can not get the ball joint to seperate from the knuckle to save my life. My lower control arm is solid, unlike the one in the how to so I am having a bear of a time getting leverage on thecontrol arm and not rip the ball joint boot. Is there some sotra tool like a pitman arm remover/. Or do I just gonna get some more leverage on it. I have tried prying many ways and at times, the strut spring begins to compress.
And do I have to count the cost of my hernia surgery against the money I save by doing this repair myeself?
Thanks
Minger
