Car not throttling properly

My 96 contour 2l was working really good up till today and now as soon as I touch the gas it dies right out. Could this be the TPS, and if it is what is the resistance suppose to be.

Happened to me before, but was unrelated.

Battery was near dead, barely cranked over, RPM was really low at idle, but I mean LOW. I gave it a little throttle, but as soon as I let off, the car died. But TOTAL FAILURE. I even had to fix the clock, and put in my radio presets again.Jumped it, of course. Ever since, I always keep jumper cables in the trunk.

Just my half cent.

Car is running fine when idling and starts good, just dies not stalling just feels like the car is cutting out when I put aload on the throttle.

Hmm does it bog when you are near WOT or just like getting on the throttle to accelerate from a stop light?
