Hey guys, the washer fluid won't spray out of the wifes 96 contour, I'm pretty sure the pump is shot. Could someone let me know where the motor is located and what's involved in replacing it?
The pump is on the washer bottle. Access is from under the car, near the right front wheel.
A couple of things to check first. The washer check valve may be plugged. It is in line as the washer hose approaches the right nozzle. It is adjacient to the "T" going up to the nozzle. If it is plugged you get the same result of no water flow. Also check the fuses.
If you hear the motor, the nozzles on the hood might just be frozen with ice, happens to me a lot with every car I've had here in upstate NY. Pour some warm faucet water on the nozzles and squirt away.
