basicly any base level sub would work and be comparable to what you had. there might just be some slight box modification to make everything just right. just stay away from sony, rockford fosgate poweracoustik and all the bargain house brands..

Do you know if your amp is 250w RMS at 4ohm? See if you can find the specs. Basically, you will want the T5512-04 if your amp is powering at 4ohm and the T5512-44 if it is powering at 2ohm.
Btw, those subs work pretty well in sealed boxes. Definitely some of the best ones I've heard in that price range.

It's a cheap "road gear" two channel amp i have bridged, roll your eyes if you want, doesn't bother me as once again it was free. I would assume it operates at 4ohm's bridged, correct me if i'm wrong. The specs are hiding somewhere at my parent's place.
Thanks for all the help guys.

Hey, free is free... no worries. I would get those specs to make sure before buying the sub and then go with what I said above. Good luck.

If you're willing to sepnd a bit more, I've got a brand new Stryke AV12. One of the best bang for the buck subs available.

Although the Stryke is an awesome sub, it doesn't sound like he has enough power to use one. Don't they require around 400-600RMS?
