My spring broke and I am looking to replace the spring and the strut. Now where would I be able to lookup the part number for the spring and the strut?
Also, when looking for parts online. I saw a couple of websites who have â??strut assemblyâ? for sale! What is the difference between a strut and a strut assembly?
Do I need the assembly?

The strut should just be the strut. I believe the assembly is the whole with spring, top plate, boot, bump stop, all put together ready to go onto car...

If you want part numbers, Fordparts.com is a good place to check, and also a great place to order from.

You will have to do both sides though. For balance.

I may be wrong, but I have never seen struts sold with springs already installed for our cars.

I believe that, in the case of our cars, that "strut" and "strut assembly" are the same thing.
