Ok I just got my wife's clutch and throwout bearing changed, I also had them replace some seals and bolts on the exhaust. The problem is that that small rattle from the firewall side of the motor behind the steering wheel is still there? What is this a bad gasket on the intake or valve cover? It drives me crazy has anybody found this fix, it also only happens when the car is in motion.

Is the dampener (right enging mount) still in one piece? That will make a bunch of noise.

If you have the V6 it could be a bad pre-cat.
Does it sound like a bell ringing? That's what mine sounded like when it went bad.

The mount seems to be in one piece but the noise sounds like a ball in a round cylinder that is hitting something inside every turn the cylinder makes?

It just drives me nuts cause it didnt make this noise ever before just very recently has it gotten louder, you can also hear it at idle and revving while stopped, not just moving.

Can you record the noise and post a .wav file? A long shot. Exhaust manifold leaks make an annoying "put-put" sound. Engine bearings make a knock, catalysts rattle/buzz or sound like pebbles in a can.
