Get a sh!t load of snow, we got over 1 foot of the white crap here within 5-6 hours, i don't remember ever seeing the city halted down to a crawle, only wish my digicam would work

It snowed hard on Thursday, but we didn't get what was expected.
I'd say maybe 12 centimeters in the downtown core.
Today was 0C and sunny so most of it started melting.
HUGE puddles everywhere now. Can't wait till they turn to ice tonight.

People at work were joking that I'd get dumped on last night. Lots of people in the Financial district were taking work home, etc. But the drive home was brutal (2 hours instead of the 35 minutes).
Grand total...10cm at the most. Shovelled the snow this morning. Did some stuff around town...all clear roads in these woods.

Did all of Montreal get the same amount? I was hearing on the news Friday morning that there were "pockets" that were getting 20cm per hour but generally it was less severe but still bad.

here in Ottawa we got around 20-25cm i believe. But watching the news last night i heard that Montreal got a little over 40cm, thnak god we didnt get that much.

I'll try to post a picture of my 97 zetec that is still trapped under the 40 cm of snow we received in one day. It was pretty hard getting to work with all that snow on friday morning ! The street I live in still hasn't been plowed !
