So I was driving home from school today and I was about 60 miles from my house and this guy was passing me in the snow on I88 and he was about half a car length a head of me and he spun out. I saw him start spinning but he was only like 5-6 feet away so there was no getting out of the way 70+. He spun into my front driver side bumper and then basically from there he kept spinning and hit my driver side of the car three times in all and ended up pushing me into a wall so that scrapped up my passenger side and then I ended up in a ditch. My poor car though, I have only had it for about 5 months and now all this. I guess I am lucky that I am not hurt at all, still mad about my car though. It is undriveable at this point, but I donâ??t think there was much damage other then to the exterior. Three of my rims have damage with one having major damage. I have to talk to the insurance agency tomorrow to get it figured out.

It was a great way to finish up a horrible day.

Just thought I would share that bad bad experience I had today with all of you and say be careful in the snow because there are a lot of idiot drivers out there.

2000 CSVT Silver Frost,
18 Rims
3 Drop
BroSpeed Exhaust and all tinted up.

And now a hanging headlight and a hanging driver side mirror

I feel your pain my man. First thing good to hear you are okay. I know how it is to drive on 88. I do it every day. So far I have been lucky (knocking on wood). Sorry to ask but if you have pics post them. Oh keep us posted on what happens.

Glad to hear you're OK, but I'm a little upset w/ you cuz you made me lose sleep last nite! Hang in there, w/ the help of CEG (and your body shop) you'll be back on the road by Spring time!

deffinetly not what you wanted to be your second post.

Good to hear you are OK,
Do you think it's fixable.

On another note,
we should make a list of what CSVTs have been totalled.
In what year model.

That way someone could say I have a 2000 tropic green CSVT.
Their was 207 made, but I know for a fact 14 of those have been laid to rest.

So I have 1 in xxx

Sorry.

hey guys talked to all the insurance policies involved today and figured it out. His insurance will cover all of it so that is great. Here are some pictures of the crashed car and some pictures before the accident.

I do have some problems because I had Stazi mesh on there and I am not sure how that is going to work with insurance. Also all four of my rims have damage, two worse then the others and the body shop guy said that he is only replacing two of them for now and trying to work on the others. So hopefully I can get it back in a month or so.

OUCH!

Sorry to see that. As far as the Stazi grill I think you are out of luck. Unless you told your insurance company you upgraded. They will only insure your car as the way you bought it.....stock. Unless you told them about the mods, usually they will make you pay extra if your car is modded.

bad news guys, just talked to the body shop and they said it was going to cost 8600 to fix, all body work, no engine damage. The way IL works is that if the damage is more then 75% of the cost of the car then they total it. The guy told me that the car was worth 8200, so 75% of 8200 is about 6100, so that is near impossible to get the car down to 6100. I have like 2000 worth of extras on it now. I am compiling a list of extras right now to bring to the insurance company because the 8200 does not include most of the extras. The problem is that nearly all of the extras were on the car when i bought it from a guy from Florida, so I do not have any of the receipts. I am trying to come up with my best guess of the value of any the parts right now. I am going to try to get some money back for the mods I have on the car. Here is what I have so far, still a work in progress, but if anyone has any ideas on the prices on any of the parts I would really appreciate it.

Thanks...
