Well more like 1 ques and 1 opinion.
Want to Hightower my headlights but can' decide on body color or black on my Tropic green.Any pics?
What would be best paint to use when I turn my chrome to body color.Should I go get some real automotive paint and have someone spray it or just get some of the touch-up paint in the spray can that matches?

I'd go with black on the headlights; flat black to be more specific. As far as the chrome goes, do the acid dip, then get real automotive paint in a spray can and do it yourself. No reason to pay someone to do it unless you are having the whole car painted.

Only bad part is that when I was doing this to my Talon headlights I could't find anyone around my area that could put the regular automotive paint in a spray can so I had to use the Dupli-Color touch up paint in a spray can.

Go with flat black. No paint needed. Just take some duct tape and remove the chrome with it. It will peel right off. Then use some Goo Gone to clean up the spots that didn't come off. It looks perfect, saves money on paint and labor, and no mess with overspray and needing to tape things off.

Gonna do flat black over Christmas for my hightowers. Still a bit concerned about cutting them apart, tho. But I think flat black will look better. Scott

OK thought black would look best but didn't know if anyone had done the green yet and how it looked so I thought I'd ask.Anyone know if the Dupli-Color touch up paint in the can matches the orignal color so I can do my oval.Plus while I'm at it might as well get rid of the rear reflector and the chrome back there.Or maybe NightShadez for the back lights & reflector.
One more question on the headlights Anyone able to get rid of the grey areas on the lights, the part by the turn signal.

Yes. Your best bet is to paint over it, on the outside of the plastic. The silver is painted on the backside, and is at a very odd angle to try to sand it off. I've tried, and to no avail.

Got the tails and headlights done (well about 95% done)went with a Semi-gloss black in heads and 2 layers of tint on tails. Will post pics tommrow if sunny out.Havent gotten around to getting rid of the chrome yet. NEVER try to use a battery operated Dremel to cut the lights open. Cut 6 inches recharge for 3 hours REPEAT
