Well, it looks like it is going to be time for a new rack. Just wondering what I should have them change when it is apart? Hoses would make sense. Good time to do the front swaybar bushings too. Any other thoughts?
Thanks
Erik

Thanks for the offer.
Unfortunately, I am on the other side of the border, so it would be a killer getting it over here.
Thanks again
Erik

Change Power steering lines, mine rusted out recently, near the rack.

How much did you pay for your lines? Ford wants more than the cost of the rack for them!!!!

When my 2nd rack was toast, and I had the front subframe pulled, that was the perfect time to ship the transaxle to Terry Haines and to put in some headers.

Unfortunatly, the car is a daily driver, so that plan won't not be practical right now. How did you go through 2 racks? How did they fail anyway?

What does your rack have wrong? The racks often leak fluid into the rubber boots, or just leak. My hoses were costly 150-ish Us dollars (from repair shop) If they are sound your call, if rusty, change them. Costly labor to change later. Maybe www.teamfordparts.com, Bill Jenkins could help.
