Time has come to bite the bullet. There is no parting out car in the classifieds, so I thought I would leave a note here. This is only partly motivated by cash, the other part is knowing the feeling of what its like to see many good parts go to the junkyard. Just found out that my ex dropped health insurance on my son, and never told anyone, and I found out because she dropped him off and said,"He needs to go to the doctor." And when I asked for an insurance card, she told my parents she didnt have insurance....so I have to move the Tour like right now...

Try local advertising, I think you would get much more than 150 bucks!

What's wrong with the car that it needs to be towed?
Do you have any free or low cost local papers where you can place an ad?

The tranny needs replaced, along with a few minor repairs. No one in the area wants the car with all the issues, and no one is interested in the parts...so I figured here would be a good place to let her go. I really do love her, but I don't have the money to keep her alive, and I would like to see someone realize what she is worth. It is at my gf's house, so I really need to let it go. I have approximately $500 in new parts on her, so if you stripped her for those you would get your money worth.

I'm really sorry that you can't sell the car.  Maybe you could list it in the newspaper as a "mechanics special" or something? I would ask more for it though.
