Ok, I'm probably worrying about nothing but would like to know the difference. I've seen some overflow tanks on SVT's with a hose coming out of the tank just under the cap and i've seen others without the hose. whats the difference in these? does one serve a better purpose than the other? Is this just a difference in the different years the SVT was made? And if you swtich from one tank to the other, is the car gonna have issues? Mods, if this is in the wrong place please move it and sorry in advance.

The vent was added sometime during the 1998 model IIRC. I see no advantage in having the vent and even converted one with a vent to one without because it would vent when it shouldn't and nothing else seemed to solve the problem. The caps are different so you must use a cap that is compatable with whatever tank you use.
