i have a 98 svt a would like to know what 1/4 times to look for a try to hit. I have 19'' rims intake exhuast..

depending how much your 19" rims weigh. you should be hitten around 15.5's stock. i ran a 15.3 @ 90MPH with just KKM intake on my '98 SVT. so i am guessing on an average of 15.5's.

Ford says the SVT can do a 15.7@88mp 1/4 mile. My best
run is 15.684@88.41mph. I've got a 100% stock 98.5 SVT
and run at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL.
I get 2.3-2.5 second 60foot times and hit 4th just before
the lights. No power shifting (in other words I use the
clutch to shift) and I drop the clutch around 3,300rpm.
3rd gear sucks, as it takes FOREVER thru 3rd. I need more
power!
19" rims will slow you down, assuming extra weight and larger
diameter tires.

Dont you just hate how 3rd gear gets you this {} close to the timing lights, but not quite there and a little too far to bump the rev limiter the rest of the way? I can't wait to run with my short shifter.

Yes I do hate that.
We can get a chip to raise the limiter, but after reading the 'oil starvation' thread,
I'll keep my 7k cutoff thank you.

MYSVT98 FYI:My last trip to the strip was my first time since I had gotten my Diablosport chip w/7,500 rev limiter. I wasn't sure if I could make it through the traps in third, but I tried resulting in a couple bounces off the limiter, a gear change to fourth, and a 15.27/91.59mph run. I'm running 215/45/17 tires also. So without final drive ratio mods, or even taller tires, there's no way(for me anyways) to make it through the traps in third.

I ran a 15.5 at the track a few weeks ago. It's the first time I ever raced, it was very cool to say the least! My only mod is a KKM intake. Unfortunately I had 3/4 tank of gas in my car also. Spare and jack were also in trunk still. I'm curious to see what I can run on a low tank and empty trunk!

Not stock 3.0 with shifting at 4500rpm because lack of fuel to engine 15.48 @ 92,
0-60 7.4secs I made the 1/4 mile in number 5 gear because of such a low rpm shift and I made the 0-60 in 4th. I cant wait to see when i can bring it to the 7k it wants to go to. I am estimating very low 14's. even with 4500rpm shifts, I still beat alot of cars around here. hehehehe

with mods listed below... i ran a 15.216.. hehe rite now i currently have the quickest NON BOOSTED ga on out forum... NOS guys are running 14.4's and the SC guys... who knows they are still messing with them
