I've noticed recently that when I apply the brakes from a "high" speed (65 MPH), the front end feels like it vibrates very fast. Does anyone know what causes this? It's just started about a week ago. It's not all TOO noticeable. It only occurs when I'm decelerating coming off of the freeway, and only occasionally.

Help?

Or rusted spots on them (been raining a lot?) Happens a lot here the pads leave rust areas on the rotors because they are wet (salt, snow )The problem should diminish in a few long gradual stops. If the dash ever vibrates, time for rotors/pads. A tire balance problem could do it too, but you would feel that without braking.

It has been raining a lot. But it only happens on relatively hard braking from high speeds, and that's occasionally. One day it'll do it, the next, it won't. It's odd, I know. But, I don't know what it could be.

It will worsen, then you will know it's time for brakes.Might be worth checking the front end ball joints/steering linkage too.

If it is a light shake, first try to torque wheel lug nuts to spec. That would be the cheapest and easiest.

Probably is rotor related. If you do replace rotors do pads too, use good quality on both (look up Stazi here). Quality pads/rotors will last much longer.
