Hey all!

Took about an hour almost to remove the transaxle seal (on drivers side) do to a leak and got the new one and having problems putting it back in. Anyone know of a good tool to use for the seal? My problem is keeping the seal straight. Always gets one end in and not the other and dents up the seal. Tried using evrything I had in my garage, from oil filters to large sockets just to try to get it in there.
If you have replaced this before, please help!

Thanks all =)

Try a very small hammer, and work the seal in, sorta like taking a paint can lid off.

I've never done one.

Perhaps use a flat piece of wood. Line it up so it looks and feels square and hit it.

Try seaming the outer edge of the new seal off to trim a couple of thou off of it. Ensure there are no rough edges in the port where the seal goes in as well.
Grease up the port with a thin film to ease it in better and straight.
