They simply called it refinishing the headlight. I know it was a chemical process to clean them, and then they put a protective film that you can barely see on them to protect them. He said the film should last a good 3 years or so. I do not see any damage around the edge...like I said, though I think it was just a chemical process. I don't know how long it took, but they did it on a day my car was in for a bunch of other stuff, so it can't take too long. I had it done at a large, local shop in Portage, Michigan called Crossroads Service.
