I'm working on a 1997 ford contour 2.0L with a CD4E
transaxle. While being driven in overdrive, the tranny
slips out into netural and rpms go's up for 2 seconds and
re-engages. The fluid level shows full and does not look or
smell burnt. No codes found, overdrive light was not
flashing. Is there anything I can look into before dropping
and overhauling the transmission. Thanks. Dave

Thanks for the info, I Got the MLPS sensor for $28 at the dealer. I will test it out this weekend to see if it fixed it. I opened up the old one and there was no water or moisture in it. But there seems to be arching and oxidation on the contacts.
Thanks
