Title pretty much says it all. The 3rd gear in my csvt is a lil fubared. It grinds going into third, if I double clutch out of second, and I don't rev the engine at all into 3rd a lot of times I can get it to go with no grinding. I have all new shift forks, and shift cables in the tranny.
First off, do you think this is a synchro problem? If not what else would it be?
Assuming it is the synchro:
1: How much (estimate) do you think it would cost to have the third gear synchro replaced entirely
2: How much to buy a new tranny and have it put in (and where could I find one?)
3: I'm planning on modifying the car heavily, a possible 3L conversion and t4 turbo kit, that is if I don't buy warmongers car

If I don't buy his and I do modify mine, do you think its safer to buy a new tranny?
4: how much HP and torque will the tranny take stock? what kind of modifications can be done to increase the ability to handle a high HP load?
