the local cops around my place are good because they know me. they pretty much leave me alone, and I never do anything stupid.
The first time I got pulled over,I was driving down main street in town, the speedlimit is 50kmh and I was following a black pickup doing 75kmh. Cop was sitting on a sideroad with radar, and naturally picks off the sporty car (in my case my Celica). So I pull over, and he asks me how fast I was going. I know you never, ever, ever admit to speeding, because if you do,they'll ticket you right away,so I just play stupid and say something like "duuhhhhh, obviously a little too fast if I'm sitting here right now.....",then I ask the cop what he clocked me at and if it's ok for me to see the reading on the radar so I can verify it and make sure he's not BSing me.
Anyways, that time I got pulled over,I forgot my wallet at home, and didn't have my licence, insurance or registration on me,so he ran my plates and everything came up clean and he just let me go with a warning.
I've been stopped for 125kmh in an 80,and the cop let me off with a ticket for improper display of front plate (in my window). He couldn't ticket me for speeding because he also pulled the BMW behind me over who he clocked at 128,and I had asked to see the reading on the radar and said he didn't have it,but he had the one for the BMW.
Another time,I was stopped for 112 in an 80. I was doing about 120 on my way to work and I saw the unmarked cruiser coming towards me,so I started to slow down and as soon as I passed him he hit the cherries and turned around and I pulled over. He was pretty pissy, obviously hadn't had his morning coffee and donut yet. Argued with me over how fast I was going etc and didn't want to show me the speed reading and I said "well I don't appreciate being yelled at for speeding when I don't even know how fast I was going and you're making things worse by not showing me how fast I was going because I'd like to know." He just rolled his eyes and showed me my speed and his,and he was doing 88,and I almost wanted to be a prick and say "yeah, well you were speeding too." He let me off for speeding and gave me a ticket for no front plate (this time on my RX7,had no plate bracket, and I read somwehere if the vehicle doesn't have a proper mounting place it doesn't need a plate,so I told the cop that and then he told me it's law in Ontario to have a front and rear plate. I took it to court and it got dropped.) The crown was a dick though. When I went to plead my case he was like "hmm, here's an uncommon ticket. No front plate. Let me guess...Honda Civic or.....Ford Mustang." I glared at him and said "Mazda RX7" and he was like "pfft, same kind of rice rocket."
Then, last time I got pulled over,I was in my Mystique on the freeway,100kmh zone, and I was doing 160 and he clocked me at 154. That would have been an automatic 30 day suspension and court summons. He was really nice and dropped it down to 149,which is the maximum speeding fine,$360 and 4 points, and he even suggested I take it to court,so I did,and had it dropped to 129kmh,3 points and $114.

Well, I don't really know you all that well but... you want to be invited next time? I'll even let you in for free if you bring a couple of girls.
How old are you anyway?

Yeah for the most part as long as your not acting like an idiot, mouthing off, theres no reason to come down hard. We are all human and make mistakes like going a little over the speed limit. Thats understandable. Its the ones that I have to deal with on a regular basis that dont seem to get it. I have given warnings instead of tickets if someone is decent about it. Its the ones that think they should be able to drive as they please that I deal with differently. Just be decent and dont come up with some stupid story like your shoes are to heavy......Yes I have heard it before.

I got pulled over 3 weeks after having my front license plate mount removed and the bumper smoothed then repainted, guess why i was pulled over........no front license plate. I had it sitting on the passenger seat right next to me and the cop didnt even seem to care. Got my ticket paid my $78 fine then got pulled over again in the same area about a week later for doing 38 in a 25. The cop asked if i had gotten any tickets in the past year, so I said yeah last week for no front license plate. He laughed as if in shock that someone would actually give a ticket for that and told me to slow it down next time. So now my license plate is folded so you only see the letters/numbers and up in the front airdam
