Since its been getting cold out side, when i first start my car it will rev up and then go down to idle (like any other car).. but when it revs, the engine ticks really bad. But when it goes to idle it goes away. It only lasts for like 1.5 seconds. Whats going on?

Maybe the chain rattles. Check oil level, make sure it's not thick (racing) oil too. I use 5w-30 Mobil 1.

My car has done that for a few years now. It is more pronounced in the cold, and also as I close in on an oil change....Car runs great still

Are you using synthetic oil? The synthetic oils flow better when cold.

TYPICAL clattering of timing components upon initial startup. low oil pressure at first.

Ours makes that sorta clicking noise but I only hear it when the engine idles, don't remember if I've ever heard it above 1500rpm.

Right now if you push ours past 3000rpm or so, the CEL comes on *has to get that EGR valve cleaned out heheh*
