WTF? No.
What he meant to say was:
"No, the Vectra and Fusion cannot share the same chassis because Ford and GM are longstanding archrivals and would never share platforms with each other. It would be akin to Honda and Toyota sharing platforms for their new hybrids. It will never happen."
Now I do see some very similar design cues, but that's only skin deep. That side shot of the Vectra looks like an Audi RS 6 as well as the Five Hundred. Interesting...
I'd take the Opel thank you... ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue2.gif)

We all know there rivals, but Gm needs money. And hey companies save alot of money sharing chassis. but i looked it up and the fusion is off the 6 chassis.

For the record GM and Ford just finished co-developing a 6spd auto transmission. So yes, from time to time, they do work together. But Ford is much more likely to pawn car parts off their other units. The Fusion chassis (Mazda 6) and I4 motor (Mazda), the Five Hundred chassis (Volvo S80), the Euro Focus ST I5 motor (Volvo), the Escape chassis (Mazda 626) and hybrid technology (Toyota), the 2.3L Duratec (Mazda), and so on... Ford is just the epitome of platform sharing these days. Almost nothing is Ford anymore, it seems.
