I love black Friday; I just made about $300 today on the next paycheck, and I still work tomorrow and Sunday, both huge days for us... I can only think of one of my friends or family that has made a purchase there in the past three years. My GF bought an audio cable there for $7.00 I am glad you made great commission, but I refuse to shop there because the employees hassle you too much and dont know anything? I have found more knowledgeable teenage employees at places like best buy. I guess what bothers me the most is that most of the radio shack employees I have had encounters with will not leave you alone. They make it obvious they are working for commission. I went in there once to look for a new cell phone. Every phone I looked at the radio shack employee said was the, "best one they had in the store and his favorite." Sorry for the rant. There are always two employees there: one working the register, and another whose job appears to involve randomly going in & out of the back room for no reason. There are always at least 3 people in line. Inevitably, at least one of these people will want to buy a cell phone despite having no clue what one IS. Either that they'll ask for a battery for their cordless phone. They won't know the model or even the brand name, and will get all huffy and say "Well I BOUGHT it here 4 or 5 years ago, can't you LOOK IT UP?!?" The RadioShack in my local mall stopped carrying electronics parts a couple months ago. As far as I'm concerned there's no other reason whatsoever for them to exist, since you can get a better brand of pretty much anything they carry for about 40% less at any other store. RS sucks. Just think: half of your apartment in boxes stacked onto a wheeled flat to push around. The stacked boxes were taller than me! Next largest in line was toys (duh) and furniture/small appliances. I still might call in today. I didn't do any hauling but my back sure does kill me. Gotta love black Friday!

I dont know what kind of stores you guys are going to, but all the stores in my area are nowhere near as bad as the ones you described. No one here "works the register," we work on commission so we ring our own sales up. We never have a line (well okay yesterday we did at 6am, but that was it) We have to work our ass off for cellphone sales (that one sale propperly done can make you in excess of $40) As for not carrying the parts, I will agree that is stupid.
