Saw the Fusion last night and was wondering if it was a madeover Mondeo?

No it's not. If you want a made-over Mondeo, buy a Jaguar X-Type.
If I remember correctly, the Fusion is based off of the Mazda6 architecture.

So the next logical question shoulde be which architecture is better or perferred. Mazda or Mondeo.

The Mazda platform is newer, I think. I would expect they've taken lessons learned from the Mondy platform & engineered accordingly...

Mazda chassis is much better. The mondy chassis is pretty old.

Fusion or Mazda 6?

I like the looks of the Mazda 6 better. But the four doors is nice too. So I would go with the Mazda 6!!

Isn't the 'to be released' Mondeo (2006/2007) Mondeo based on the same CD3 platform though ?
