OP JellYNutZ New CEG\'er J Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 38 Paragould, Arkansas	Changed the oil (and filter) day before yesterday and put in only 4 quarts and shows on the dipstick that its about a quart over?!? Started it up...ran it, then checked again and it's the same thing. Possibility that the stick doesn't belong to this car? Could someone possibly get me a measurement? Thanks 1999 Contour SE 2.0L ATX 104k miles

The thing that blows my mind is that it shows it being a QUART HIGHER than capacity. I usually have the oil change done at a 'quick lube' shop as I have nowhere to put the old oil. I decided to do it myself this time since they put the wrong grade of oil in last time. This makes me wonder if I've been running the car a half quart low since I got it two years ago 1999 Contour SE 2.0L ATX 104k miles
